Kidney patient makes plea for help

GALKOT: Gam Bahadur Kisaan of Kathekhola Rural Municipality-7, who is undergoing treatment in Kathmandu due to failure of both kidneys, has faced a financial crisis.

Hence, support has been sought to continue his treatment and thereby save his life.

The family has already spent Rs 700,000 on the treatment of Kisaan, who has been undergoing treatment at the TU teaching hospital in Kathmandu for five months after being diagnosed with kidney failure.

The financial condition of the family is weak as he was making a living as a daily wage labourer.

Hemraj Kisan, brother of Gam Bahadur, said that although he is undergoing dialysis it is now necessary to transplant his kidney.

The family and close relatives have also contributed as much as they can but now outside support was a must to save his life.

Kisaan working in a grill industry in Baglung market was diagnosed with kidney failure after he fell unconscious while working.

After four weeks in Pokhara for treatment, he was taken to Kathmandu for further treatment.

Although he is undergoing regular dialysis now, it seems necessary to have a kidney transplant as soon as possible.

His family is hopeful that Kisaan will get a new life if financial funds are collected from wishful donors.
