KATHMANDU: Kathmanduites woke up to a foggy morning on Thursday as a thick layer of fog engulfed the capital city.

The Kathmandu Valley, which was getting bright sunshine in the morning, has been engulfed by fog and cold.

According to Meteorologist Ganga Nagarkoti, the fog in Kathmandu since morning will gradually clear in the afternoon.

Nagarkoti also ruled out the possibility of rainfall even though it was foggy.

Meanwhile, take-off and landings of planes at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) have been affected due to low visibility.

According to Teknath Sitaula, spokesperson at the TIA, some domestic flights have also been stopped and international flights have also been affected due to low visibility.
