Deuba summons Nepali Congress leaders to review govt’s performance

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has called a meeting of party office bearers and ministers to discuss and evaluate the performance of the KP Sharma Oli-led government.

The meeting is scheduled to take place at Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkantha on Thursday morning.

The gathering comes amid growing dissatisfaction within the party and among the public regarding the government’s achievements.

Prominent Nepali Congress leaders, including Shekhar Koirala and NP Saud, have expressed concerns that continued inefficiency could further alienate the public.

“Public dissatisfaction is on the rise, and the government’s inability to deliver results after six months in office is becoming a significant issue,” said one leader.

The meeting aims to review the performance of Nepali Congress ministers within the coalition government and discuss ways to address growing public grievances.

This internal review is seen as an effort to reinforce the party’s accountability and ensure that its representatives in government are contributing effectively to meeting the country’s expectations.
