We should focus on elections after a month, let’s finish the impeachment quickly: Lawmakers

The committee meeting held at Singha Durbar on Wednesday decided to make a procedure and work schedule for the investigation.

The committee has instructed the secretariat to present the procedure and work schedule of the committee in the next meeting. In the meeting, the committee members were of the opinion that the impeachment process should be completed as soon as possible.

CPN-UML lawmaker Krishnabhakta Pokhrel said that work should be done to get it finished within 1 month. He claimed that UML is neutral on the issue of impeachment.

Similarly, Nepali Congress lawmaker Meen Bahadur Biswakarma opined that the discussion should be accelerated by studying the impeachment proposal and other documents. He suggested that since the focus should be on the election after a month, the procedure should be made in such a way that it can accomplished in a short time.
