Ordinance is meant to mainstream political parties and groups willing to discard violence: Minister Karki



KATHMANDU: The government has made it clear that it introduced the ordinance to mainstream the political parties and groups willing to give up violence.

Speaking to the press on Monday,  the government Spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki informed that the government brought the ordinance to strengthen internal unity and ensure peaceful environment.

“The government wants to strengthen the internal unity of the country, it has brought an ordinance to release the leaders and activists including Resham Chaudhary who are serving life imprisonment and want to join mainstream politics in peaceful environment,” he said.
