Lawmakers draw govt’s attention towards management of garbage, fertilizer

KATHMANDU: Members of the House of Representatives have drawn the government’s attention to the shortage of chemical fertilizer, saying farmers have been facing problems due to this.

Taking a special time in today’s HoR meeting, lawmaker Hridayesh Tripathi blamed the government for not paying attention even though the country has been facing an acute shortage of chemical fertilizer.

He said that paddy production would decline this year if this situation continues.

Similarly, HoR member Krishna Bahadur Rai drew the government’s attention to the management of garbage in the Kathmandu Valley.

Saying a single woman was burnt to death in Darchula on Wednesday, lawmaker Ganesh Singh Thagunna demanded action against those involved in the incident.
