Ballot papers airlifted to Manang and Mustang



KATHMANDU: The ballot papers for the November 20 election to House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly have been airlifted to the Himalayan districts- Manang and Mustang.

The Nepali Army helicopter airlifted the ballot papers.

District Election Officer, Pushparaj Acharya, said 9,000 ballot papers were printed each for the election to the House of Representatives and proportional category in the district.

The ballot papers were received at 8:00am today.

It has been kept safely with utmost security at District Election Office, he added.

Similarly, Acharya viewed for the proportional election in the Provincial Assembly (a), 3,500 ballot papers were received while 5,500 for the Provincial Assembly (b).

There are a total of 6,779 voters in Manang.
