Ruling coalition will form both the federal and province governments: Dr. Shashank Koirala

KATHMANDU: Central member of the Nepali congress and newly elected member of the House of Representatives, Dr Shashank Koirala, has said the ruling alliance will form governments in center and provinces.

Leader Koirala said it while expressing views at a program organized to exchange greetings on his victory from Nawalparasi East.

The government of the present alliance is imperative to work in line with spirit of the constitution, he argued, adding that not only in Gandaki Province, but also in the federal level, the existing alliance forms new government.

“Only stable government can solve problems facing the country. So, the alliance government is in sight,” he said, and underscored that the country would see development and prosperity once the alliance government runs for five years.

He worried over negligible participation of women in politics although the constitution has mentioned 33 percent participation. It is time to encourage women to move forward, Dr Koirala stressed.

On the occasion, Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, Krishna Chandra Nepali, also claimed that existing alliance itself would form the new government. The Gandaki Province got majority seats of alliance candidates in the parliament, so it will form the government.

Another newly elected member of the House of Representatives, Bishnu Kumar Karki, said he would devote to development and service to public.
