KATHMANDU: Kathmandu valley Chief District Officers have decided to relax prohibitory orders and let all types of shops including groceries, departmental stores till 6 PM from June 29.
According to Uma Kanta Adhikari, the Assistant Chief District Officer of Kathmandu district, the meeting of the three CDOs of Kathmandu valley decided to let the shops go open till six PM from tomorrow.
“Grocery stores will be open all day. All kinds of shops which were formerly allowed to open according to the assigned days will remain open from 11 AM to 6 PM every day from tomorrow,” he informed.
However, the meeting has decided to tighten the entry to Kathmandu Valley.
Adhikari informed that the pass is mandatory for those entering the Kathmandu Valley.
The meeting has also decided to let the public passenger vehicles with a capacity of more than 25 seats operate within the Kathmandu Valley from Tuesday.
Yet, the public buses have to abide by the odd-even number operation system formerly in use for the private vehicles only.
Long-distance vehicles are not allowed the operation yet.
Similarly, the restrictions imposed against the gathering in marriage or other rituals have not been lifted yet.
The three district administration offices have extended the prohibitory order for one more week from tomorrow.
