Valley records 2 degree; fogs in Terai, snowfall in highlands

KATHMANDU: The temperature in the Kathmandu Valley has gone down to 2 degree Celsius on Wednesday morning.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD), the 2 degree Celsius was recorded at 6 am in the capital today.

The temperature will rise up to 19 degree during the day, said Samir Shrestha, a meteorologist.

Currently, most parts of Tarai are covered in thick fogs while the weather is partly cloudy in the hilly region of the country.

According to a weather bulletin issued by the MFD this morning, the weather will remain partly cloudy in Pradesh 1 and Gandaki Pradesh and fair in the rest of the country, said Shrestha.

Similarly, the weather will remain partly cloudy in Pradesh 1, Gandaki Pradesh and Lumbini Pradesh and fair weather in the rest of the country.

Light snowfall is forecast in the high hilly and mountainous region of the country.
