Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll reaches 6,531 with 185 new fatalities

KATHMANDU: As many as 185 COVID-19 patients have reportedly succumbed to the coronavirus pandemic in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the new deaths have taken the country’s death toll to 6,531 as of Sunday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Nepal recorded a total of 7,425 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 7,220 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 205 have been tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 1,806 persons in Kathmandu, 681 in Lalitpur, and 298 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 2,785 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 7,135 persons have returned home after complete health recovery from COVID-19.
