Revolving fund of Rs 500,000 formally established



JANAKPURDHAM: Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City has observed the 12th Memorial Day of journalist late Uma Singh.

On the occasion, Mayor Lal Kishor Sah said that Janakpurdham has lost active journalist with the murder of Singh, adding that the revolving fund of Rs 500,000 announced last year in the name of journalist Singh has been established formally this year.

Sah said a journalist making outstanding contribution in journalism sector would be awarded from the revolving fund.

Uma Singh was murdered in her rented room at Rajaula of Janakpur on 11 January 2009.
