Incumbent coalition govt continues until next elections: Health Minister Khatiwada

KATHMANDU: Minister for Health and Population Birodh Khatiwada said the incumbent coalition government would continue until next elections reasoning that it was formed to safeguard the constitution.

There was no meaning to call the government the one that was formed through mandamus order of the apex court since its formation followed the constitution, said Khatiwada, who also a leader of the CPN-Unified Socialist, at a program organized in Kaski by the party’s Chapter to exchange greetings on the occasion of upcoming festivals, Dashain, Tihar and Chhath.

“The incumbent government is not the one as rumored. A majority of lawmakers reached to the President Office in line with the constitution. Majority lawmakers signed to form it just like the former government led by KP Oli.”

On another note, he claimed that they broke away from the CPN-UML and formed the CPN-Unified Socialist to save communist movements as UML Chair Oli demonstrated political digression and self-centered traits.

In the capacity of the health minister, he said that he would sit together with all the stakeholders to seek their suggestion towards equipping and operating the Western Regional Hospital in a more effective manner.
