CoAS Sharma assumes office



KATHMANDU: Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Prabhuram Sharma has assumed office at Nepal Army Headquarters in Bhadrakali Thursday.

Earlier in the day, President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered the oath of office and conferred the insignia of the rank to the newly appointed CoAS Sharma amidst a function at President’s Office, Shital Niwas.

The function was held in the presence of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Chief Justice Cholendra Shamser Rana, Speaker Agni Sapkota and National Assembly Speaker Ganesh Prasad Timilsina and other high-ranking officials.
