SC issues interim order not to bring 113 ropanis of Baluwatar land in government’s name



KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court (SC) has issued an interim order not to immediately transfer the land that was illegally transferred by land mafias to individuals in the name of the government.

Hearing a writ petition filed by Min Bahadur Gurung’s wife Sarala, who is facing a case of land grabbing, the SC has ordered not to register the land in the name of the government.

A single bench of Justice Kumar Chudal issued an interim order in the name of the government.

Some 113 ropanis of the land of Lalita Niwas in the Baluwatar area have been transferred in the name of individuals.
