NEPSE increases by 23.76 points



KATHMANDU: Nepal Exchange Ltd (NEPSE) has increased by 23.76 points on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.

With today’s increment, the index has reached 2824.89 points.

A total of 13.14 million shares of 223 traded today resulting in a turnover of 4.8 billion.

The index of banking group increased by 17 points, hotel and tourism by 14 points, development banks by 89 points, hydropower by 52 points, finance by 64 points, non-life insurance by 4 points, manufacturing by 23 points, microfinance by 68 points, and life insurance group by 42 points.

Similarly, the other 12 index and business groups have declined by 20 points.

The price of Guheshwari Merchant Bank has increased by 9 percent. Similarly, the value of Rashtriya Bima Company Founder Group has increased by 6 percent. Prices of Joshi Hydro, Ghalemdi Hydro, Multipurpose Finance, and Civil Microfinance have increased by 5 percent.

The value of the Corporate Development Bank shrunk the most by 3 percent.

In addition, the declining price of other declining companies was limited to less than 2 percent. Nepal Bank was at the forefront in terms of turnover.

Himalayan Distillery had a turnover of Rs 170 million after buying and selling 210 million shares of the bank. After that, NIC Asia Bank, Nifra, and Upper Tamakoshi were ahead in terms of turnover.
