Minister Sah dubs Prachanda’s decision “mockery of democracy and height of autocracy”

KATHMANDU: Urban Development Minister Prabhu Sah has come down heavily on CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” for writing to the Parliament Secretariat to expel him from the Parliament.

Taking to Facebook on Wednesday, Sah labeled Prachanda’s decision a “mockery of democracy and height of autocracy”.

He also lambasted Prachanda for using what he called “legal stick” on him and others as he himself had won the election by making an alliance with the CPN-UML.

Minister Sah has also alleged Prachanda for “terrorizing elected people’s representatives” terming the decision to expel him from the Parliament as a regressive move.

The CPN (Maoist Center) had written to the Federal Parliament Secretariat on Tuesday asking it to expel four of its leaders from the House.

The party asked the Secretariat to expel Energy Minister Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Labor Minister Gauri Shankar Chaudhary, Urban Development Minister Prabhu Sah and Industry Minister Lekh Raj Bhatta from the parliament.

The party had earlier sought an explanation from the four ministers for defecting to the CPN-UML.

The leaders, according to the party, failed to furnish a satisfactory explanation within the stipulated time.
