Jhapa Administration Office launches campaign to clear pending applications

JHAPA: The District Administration Office in Jhapa has launched a campaign aimed at clearing the backlog of applicants waiting for national identity card and passport services.

The office has introduced the ‘Reduce Pending Applications to Zero’ campaign, under which services will be provided even on public holidays. Chief District Officer Shravan Kumar Pokharel said the campaign will continue until October 1, with the objective of providing prompt and efficient services to applicants waiting for biometric registration and other procedures after submitting their applications online.

As part of the campaign, the office will remain open from 7 am to 6 pm every day, including public holidays, to ensure uninterrupted service delivery. The demand for national identity cards and passports has increased significantly at the office in recent months, resulting in a growing number of applicants waiting for their turn.

The campaign aims to clear the pending applications and eliminate the waiting list. The District Administration Office has urged all applicants who have submitted their applications online and are awaiting their turn to visit the office during the campaign period with the required documents.
