Joshi’s demise an irreparable loss to NC and country: Leaders

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leaders have said that the passing away of its central committee member and former minister Nabindra Raj Joshi has caused an irreparable loss to the NC and the country.

At condolence meet organized by the Nepal Students’ Union (NSU) on the 12th mourning day in the capital on Tuesday, NC leaders said the late Joshi was a leader with honesty, integrity, and perseverance.

NC general secretary Purna Bahadur Khadka said the politics of the late Joshi can be observed in two parts – before and after the 1990 people’s movement. He was always effortful to mediate disputes within the party, Khadka said.

NC central member and former minister Bal Bahadur KC termed the late Joshi as a student leader with high leadership qualities. “The country and the NC had lost an ideal leader”.

Similarly, NC central member and former minister Bal Krishna Khand said the passing away of Joshi has caused an irreparable loss to the Nepal Students’ Union and Nepali Congress. “Joshi was a popular leader with pleasant personality”.

NC central member and former minister Deepak Giri said the late Joshi was a highly clever and gentle leader. He had made substantial contributions to the expansion and consolidation of the party organization, Giri noted.

Similarly, NC central member and former minister Kamal Panta said the late Joshi had propelled the politics of honesty even in the most difficult time.
