17 bodies of Nepali migrant workers brought to Nepal



KATHMANDU: The bodies of 17 Nepalis who lost their lives in different countries during foreign employment have arrived in Nepal on Sunday.

A source at the Tribhuvan International Airport informed that 17 bodies arrived in Nepal at different times on Sunday morning. Of them, 12 arrived from Malaysia alone.

According to sources, the bodies of 12 people have arrived from Malaysia, two from Qatar and three from Turkey.

Some of the deceased belonged to Gorkha district. The bodies of Surya BK, 28, of Siranchowk-5, and Megh Bahadur Kunwar, 27, of Gorkha Municipality-12 were also found.

Former Prime Minister and Chairman of the Federal Council of Janata Samajwadi Party of Nepal Dr. Baburam Bhattarai had also reached the airport with the bereaved family members.

Dr. Bhattarai wrote on social network Twitter, “How could I hold my tears when I saw the emotional state of the relatives who came to receive the body!”

Earlier, the bodies of 17 Nepalis who had gone for employment to Malaysia were brought to Nepal on January 25.
