KATHMANDU: Domestic flights have resumed their services from today almost after two montnths.
The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has directed Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) to operate domestic flights from July 1.
CAAN has allowed domestic airlines companies to resume flights without exceeding 50 percent of the total flights.
CAAN’s Spokesperson Raj Kumar Chhetri informed that the domestic flights will begin operations from July 1.
“As many as 67 flights from four airlines companies have been allowed to resume operations as per the decision taken on June 21”, said Chhetri.
Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) will operate international flights to Doha on June 24, 27 and 29, to Japan on June 25 and Dubai on June 28 and 30, the ministry said.
Similarly, the ministry has also permitted Himalaya Airlines to conduct flights to Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, and Dammam.
On the front of international airlines, the government has permitted Qatar Airways, Turkish, Jazeera Airways, Fly Dubai, SalamAir and Air Arabia to conduct flight services to Nepal.
Air India resumed flight services since June 25.
