Police raid Angan Sweets after SSP finds nail in sweets



KATHMANDU: Police raided an outlet of Angan Sweets located at Kamal Pokhari in Kathmandu after a human nail was found in sweets purchased from the shop.

Interestingly, the sweets were purchased by an SSP of Nepal Police who had been recently recommended for promotion to DIG. He discovered a nail in the sweets when he reached home.

“We have also informed the Department of Food Technology and Quality Control,” said DSP Pramesh Bista at Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu.

Police have arrested an employee of the sweet shop.
