Kathmandu Valley sees 645 new COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: As many as 645 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 485 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 36 in Bhaktapur, and 124 in Lalitpur.

With this Kathmandu has got 86,856 cases of coronavirus till date. Out of which, 348 patients have succumbed to death, whereas 78,469 have recovered from the pandemic.

Similarly, the number of coronavirus cases has reached 13,088 till date in Lalitpur. Out of which, 11,353 have returned home after recovery. The district has seen 109 deaths so far.

Likewise, 89 people have lost their lives due to the coronavirus pandemic in Bhaktapur district. The district coronavirus case tally has reached 7,104 till today.

Meanwhile, as many as 1,380 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive throughout Nepal in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 230,723 with fresh cases as of Saturday afternoon.

A total of 515 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 211,186 in the country.

Nepal currently has 18,083 active cases.

Likewise, 618 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

As many as 19 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to1, 454, the Ministry confirmed.
