Rs 19.42 billion allocated for construction of international airports



KATHMANDU: The government has allocated Rs 19.42 billion for the construction of the international airports.

Unveiling the budget for the coming fiscal year 2020/21 in Parliament on Thursday, Finance Minister Dr. Yuvaraj Khatiwada said that priority has been given to safe, regular, accessible and reliable air services.
The budget has also been allocated for inter-state flights and international flights.

Similarly, the budget also included for the operation of Gautam Buddha International Airport and construction of additional infrastructure including the second terminal building, upgrading of Tribhuvan Airport and completion of Pokhara Regional Airport.

Similarly, budget has been allocated for the construction of Nijgadh Airport, transfer of settlements within the airspace and construction of circuit.
