Gold price drops by Rs 4,300 per tola; silver also declines



KATHMANDU: The price of gold fell sharply by Rs 4,300 per tola in the domestic market on Tuesday, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.

The federation fixed the price of fine gold at Rs 284,200 per tola, down from Rs 288,500 per tola on Monday.

Despite the steep daily decline, gold remains Rs 1,400 higher than the price recorded on the same day last week, when it traded at Rs 285,600 per tola.

Silver prices also declined on Tuesday, falling by Rs 135 per tola.

The federation set the price of silver at Rs 4,310 per tola, compared to Rs 4,445 per tola a day earlier. Last Thursday, silver was traded at Rs 4,370 per tola.
