Govt allocates Rs 43.10 billion to Ministry of Water Supply



KATHMANDU: A total of Rs 43.10 billion budget has been allocated for the Ministry of Water.

Finance Minister Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada said that the Melamchi Project will be completed within this year and the water supply will start from the upcoming year.

Likewise, the Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited (KUKL) will be upgraded as a professional institution, for which a total of Rs 1 billion has been allocated.

Finance Minister Khatiwada also said that the “Water of Nepal and Investment of Citizen” program will be promoted.
