Deepak Manange released on bail of Rs 6,000

Gurung sent to judicial custody

POKHARA: The Kaski Chief District Office has released Deepak Manange alias Rajiv Gurung, Gandaki Provincial Assembly Member, on bail of Rs 6,000 on Sunday.

Manange was arrested from Lakeside in Pokhara last week after he had manhandled Milan Gurung, the President of Kaski Football Association during the inauguration of the Chief Minister Cup Football Tournament in Pokhara on last Tuesday.

Gurung had filed a police complaint on Wednesday.

Likewise, Gurung has been sent to judicial custody for seven days, according to DSP Raj Kumar KC, Spokesperson of Kaski Police.

Gurung, meanwhile, was arrested on Friday following a complaint of dupery by a few businessmen.
