440 die in monsoon-induced disasters this year so far



KATHMANDU: A total of 440 people have been killed in disasters during the monsoon this year so far.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, all 77 districts of the country have been affected by disasters. The damage is expected to increase as the monsoon is still active, it added.

A total of 440 people have died and 120 are still missing in floods, landslides, lightnings, heavy rains and other disasters across the country from April 13 to September 24.

Similarly, 745 people have been injured.
