Sub-engineer arrested with Rs 80,000 bribe



MAKWANPUR: The Hetauda Regional Office of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested a government employee on the charge of taking Rs 80,000 bribe.

The anti-graft body nabbed Gajendra Prasad Jaiswal, a sub-engineer of the Irrigation Development Division Office, Kalaiya Bara.

Sub-engineer Jaiswal has been arrested on the charge of taking bribe from a service recipient in Ward No. 4 Kalaiya Bazaar.

It is understood that the team from the commission arrested him on the basis of a special complaint that he demanded money from the service recipient after the work of river embankment was completed.
