One held with illegal possession of Rs 2 million

KATHMANDU: A person has been arrested with illegal possession of Rs 2 million from Soharuwa of Siraha Municipality-19.

A team of Armed Police Force mobilized from Lagadigadiyani arrested Sukdev Thakur, 37, a resident of Laxmipur in Arnama Rural Municipality of the district.

Information to this was shared by Superintendent at battalion-7 of APF, Pabin Kandel. Thakur was held while he was coming from India. The amount was found while frisking him.

Later, Thakur was handed to the District Police Office for further investigation and punishment.

Meanwhile, State-2 government has decided to set up Agriculture Knowledge Center and Livestock Service Expertise Center in all eight districts of the State.

Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives Shailendra Prasad Saha shared this information.
