10 houses buried in Lamjung landslide



LAMJUNG: At least 10 houses have been buried under landslide when the incessant rainfall induced soil erosion and landslide claimed a part of Marsyangdi-1, Lamjung on Wednesday.

According to District Police Office Lamjung, 10 houses have fallen under landslide’s claim induced by the continuous rainfall.

DSP Ganga Bahadur Thapa, the Chief of District Police Office Lamjung, informed that a team of police and locals are involved in rescue efforts and there is no reports of casualties so far.

“Police from the Area Police Office have reached the site and are involved in rescue efforts,” DSP Thapa said.

According to the police, the details of the damage and loss are yet to come.
