IEDs detected in multiple locations in Dhangadhi



DHANGADI: Improvised explosive devices (IEDs) placed at different three locations in Dhangadhi have been deactivated by the Nepal Army (NA).

It is to yet to be known who planted the pressure cooker bombs near the State’s social development ministry, infrastructure development ministry and at the LN Chowk.

The District Police Office, Kailali said the suspicious bombs were neutralized today by the NA bomb disposal squad.

According to DPO’s Deputy Superintendent of Police Prateek Bista, a suspicious object has been detected near the Lamkichuha Municipality Office and the NA team has already left for the site to respond to it.

Deputy-mayor’s vehicle torched
An unidentified group last night allegedly torched an official vehicle of Ghodaghodi municipality deputy mayor Prem Kumari Thapa.

The group set the vehicle ( Se 1 Jha 241) on fire when it was parked inside the quarter of municipality employees, said Area Police Office Sukhad.

The fire was put out with the help of locals. The fire damaged the rear of the vehicle.
