Ten people injured in Bajhang accident

BAJHANG: At least 10 people were injured after a jeep, with registration number Su pa Pra 01001 Ja 1220 met with an accident at Khaptad Gaupalika in Bajhang.

The jeep, en-route from Pauwagadhi of Khaptad Gaupalika-1 to Gadraya was carrying students and Gaupalika Vice-Chair, Pausara Thapa.

Students and Vice-Chair Thapa were heading to Maheshwari Secondary School to attend a sports event at the school.

Vice-Chair Thapa, Arjun Khatri, 21, Laxman Khatri, 21, Rabindra Joshi, 18, Suman Karki, 18, Suman B.K., 18, Binod B.K., 14, Rupa Upadhyay, 20, Devi Bhakta Joshi, 42 of Kaptad Gaupalika-2 and teacher Narendra Upadhyay of Khaptad Gaupalika-3 were injured in the accident, informed Bhuwan Singh Bohara, Sub-Inspector of Channa Police Station.

Teacher Upadhyay and Suman B.K. have been seriously injured while the condition of others is normal, he added.

The police have arrested jeep driver, Tek Singh Saut.
