Five parliamentary committees holding meetings today



KATHMANDU: Meetings of five parliamentary committees are being held today.

According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, meetings of the Finance Committee; Women and Social Affairs Committee; State Administration and Good Governance Committee; Education, Health and Information Technology Committee; and the Committee on Monitoring and Evaluation of the Implementation of State Directive Principles, Policies and Responsibilities are scheduled for Thursday.

The Finance Committee, meeting at 11:00 am, is expected to receive and discuss a report submitted by a subcommittee.

Similarly, the Women and Social Affairs Committee, also meeting at 11:00 am, has included on its agenda a discussion with officials of the Muslim Commission regarding its work and progress.

The State Administration and Good Governance Committee, meeting at 1:00 pm, will hold a theoretical discussion on the National Service Party Bill, 2083. It is also scheduled to receive reports from field monitoring of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) and prison offices.

The Education, Health and Information Technology Committee, called for 10:00 am, will discuss the current situation of the Ministry of Health and Food Hygiene, contemporary issues, challenges, and future action plans.

Likewise, the Committee on Monitoring and Evaluation of the Implementation of State Directive Principles, Policies and Responsibilities is scheduled to meet at 2:30 pm to discuss the country’s current situation and other contemporary issues.
