Kathmandu Valley sees 339 new COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: As many as 339 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 289 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 12 in Bhaktapur and 38 in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, 502 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 211,475 with fresh cases as of Tuesday afternoon.

A total of 3,112 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours.

A total of 2,878 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 179,242 in the country.

Nepal currently has 30,986 active cases.

Likewise, 1,003 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

As many as 17 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,247 the Ministry confirmed.
