Health check-up of drivers and assistant drivers



MUGLING: A primary health examination of drivers and their assistants of public vehicles plying on the highway was carried out on Friday.

The medical checkup was organized by Traffic Police Office, Mugling in cooperation with the Muglin Highway Hospital.

Drivers and their assistants underwent free medical checkup at Muglin bazaar, located in ward no. 5 of Icchyakamana rural municipality of the district.

A total of 55 small and big vehicle drivers and their assistants underwent medical check-up at the program held in the premises of the Traffic police post in Muglin bazaar, according to sub-inspector of police Yubaraj Basaula.

The initiative was taken in order to ensure that health complications in the drivers do not become a reason for road accidents, Basaula said. The drivers need to be healthy for minimizing road accidents. “Especially the drivers should not be undergoing any kind of tension,” he said.

During the health checkup, the drivers and their assistants were examined for their mental health, tension, eye vision, fever, blood pressure, sugar levels etc.
