CM Bhatta assures action against culprit of mishandling journalists

DHANGADHI: Chief Minister at Sudurpaschim Province, Trilochan Bhatta has vowed to take strong action against those involved in manhandling the journalists.

While receiving the attention letter by FNJ Kailali chapter today, CM Bhatta said that he was receiving real information from the Chief District Officer of Kailali regarding the incident and action would be taken soon.

The FNJ district chapter chair Jagat Saud urged CM Bhatta to take stern action against the culprits arguing that no action was forwarded so far after four days on the incident.

The FNJ is staging a protest demanding action against the culprit involved in vandalizing the Dinesh Media House and manhandling and misbehaving to the journalists.

The incident took place after Dinesh News published the news that a19-year-old prisoner committed suicide in Dhangadhi. A group reached Dinesh News office had vandalized the media house and physically assaulted the journalist arguing that it was not a suicide but a murder.
