PM Oli to be discharged from hospital today

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli, who was admitted to the Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) on March 2 for a kidney re-transplantation, is being discharged from the hospital on Friday.

There has been good progress in PM’s health and he will be discharged from the hospital this evening, Director at the TUTH, Dr. Prem Krishna Khadga said during a press meet.

However, PM Oli has been suggested to refrain from meeting people or attending any public functions even after his discharge.

It has been said that an isolation ward has been constructed inside the PM’s residence in Baluwatar.

Earlier, PM Oli had undergone his first kidney transplant in 2007 at Apollo Hospital in New Delhi.

On March 6, Prime Minister Oli had given a message from the hospital bed that he would return to work soon.

Samikshya Sangraula, who donated one of her kidneys to Prime Minister Oli, was discharged from the Maharajgung-based TUTH on Wednesday.
