KATHMANDU: Government spokesperson and Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel is set to hold an interaction with journalists covering political affairs on Tuesday.
The discussion will take place at the Ministry of Education and Sports in Singha Durbar at 3:00 pm, according to the ministry.
The interaction will focus on challenges in information dissemination, policy reforms, and ways to strengthen coordination between the government and the media.
The ministry said the meeting will also explore measures to make the government’s information dissemination more systematic, transparent and effective, while providing a platform for journalists to share the challenges they face during news reporting.
Political reporters from various media outlets have been invited to participate in the discussion.
According to the ministry, Minister Pokharel has been regularly engaging with journalists covering communication, education and political affairs, as well as representatives from educational institutions and the private sector.
The ministry said recommendations from such interactions are being used to prioritize policy reforms and enhance transparency.
