DANG: More than 1,000 people sought health services at Rapti Institute of Health Sciences in Ghorahi on Monday.
According to the institute’s Information Officer, Nishan Bhattarai, a total of 1,285 people received health services in a single day, the highest daily patient turnout since the establishment of the institute.
Of the total, 1,180 patients received outpatient department (OPD) services, while 51 sought treatment through the emergency department. In addition, 54 new patients were admitted to the hospital.
Among those treated in the emergency department, 26 were men and 25 were women. In the OPD, 435 men and 745 women received treatment. The institute also stated that 446 people received services under the health insurance program.
Institute Director Dr. Suresh Rasaili said the rising number of patients reflects growing public trust in the institution. He added that the availability of specialist doctors, skilled health workers, modern medical equipment, and expanded services has attracted a large number of patients from Dang and neighboring districts.
Despite the increase in patient flow, doctors, nurses, and other health workers have continued to provide uninterrupted services. The institute said additional management measures have been strengthened to ensure easy, effective, and quality healthcare services.
