Translator at district court arrested with Rs 200,000 bribe



KAPILVASTU: A translator at Kapilvastu District Court has been arrested with bribe.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) arrested Bishwonath Kurmi (Chaudhary) working as a translator at the court with Rs 200,000 bribe.

Chaudhary has received the kickback from a defendant for facilitating in a dupery case.

Acting on a tip-off, a CIAA team from the Butwal-based office arrested Chaudhary from Kapilvastu Municipality-1, Mahamaya Press.

The anti-graft body said that further investigation was underway.
