Police make public four rapists



MAHOTTARI: The Mahottari district police have made public four persons arrested recently on the charge of gang-raping two girls at the district police office in Jaleshwor.

A group of seven persons, including the four arrestees, had gang-raped two girls, both around 18th years of age, in Jaleshwor on February 27 while they had been to a local fair.

They had taken the girls by covering their mouths with hands to a desolate place and raped them, police said.

The accused arrestees are Raju Thakur, 24, Skhushanur Ansari, 26, Kumar Prabhat, 26, and Santosh Thakur, 34, all from Jaleshwor municipality-6.

A search has been launched for other rape accused, Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyam Krishna Adhikari said.
