NC spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma on Sunday issued a statement welcoming the deal.

He stressed on the need for continuous vigilance to prevent the violation of the agreement.

Although the government’s attitude towards KC’s strike has been negative from the beginning, it has been pleasant to reach an agreement through discussions, he added.

Sharma also stressed on the need to implement the agreement.

Earlier today, Dr. KC ended his 19th hunger strike following an eight-point agreement with the government last night.
