KATHMANDU: The construction of Dharahara, a heritage of archaeological importance, is completing within nine months.
With this, people’s desire to view Dharahara and to have a glimpse of the panoramic view of the capital city Kathmandu from the 22-story view tower is getting fulfilled soon.
“The construction of Dharahara is in full swing and it is going to be completed within next nine months,” said National Reconstruction Authority (NRA).
President Bidya Devi Bhandari made a field inspection of under-construction on Saturday.
Prior to this she had inspected Ranipokhari and Durbar High School and took stock of the reconstruction work.
Dharahara, which is popularly known as Bhimsenstambha, had been destroyed by the mega earthquake in 2015. The NRA had started its reconstruction work one and a half years ago.
On December 27, 2018, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had inaugurated the reconstruction work of the heritage with the aim of completing it within two years.
