DHAKA: The Embassy of Nepal in Dhaka organized an event “Unveiling Visit Nepal Year 2020 Campaign” at the embassy premises, says a press release.

Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan was the chief guest, and Kedar Bahadur Adhikari, secretary of Nepal’s Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, was the special guest.

Three renowned Bangladeshi personalities — MA Mohit, two times Mt Everest summiteer; singer Mehreen Bhuiyan Mahmud; and actor Zahid Hasan — were introduced as the campaign’s goodwill ambassadors.

In his remarks, Kedar Bahadur highlighted various aspects of the Nepali tourism sector, particularly the government’s priorities in infrastructure development. Investments in road, railways, and airport facilities are expected to be instrumental in the development of Nepali tourism, he said.

He invited all Bangladeshi friends to visit Nepal and experience its beauty and hospitality.

Nurul Islam Sujan expressed his satisfaction on the persisting excellent bilateral relations between the two countries and he further highlighted the need to work together to harness potentials of sectors like tourism, trade, transit, and connectivity.

The embassy also launched a tourism blog (bd.nepalembassy.gov.np/blog) as a platform for travellers to share their stories and experiences.
