Lightning claims three in Dang



DANG: Three persons including two children were killed in separate incidents of lightning strikes in the district on Saturday.

According to District Police Office, Dang, two die in Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City-7, Nawalpur and one in Ghorahi Sub-metropolis-11, Hapure.

Sita Chaudhary, 7, and Laxmi Acharya, 54, died in the lightning strike in Tulsipur at around 1 pm.

Seriously injured in the lightning, they passed away while undergoing treatment at the Tulsipur-based Rapti Life Care Hospital, police said.

Likewise, Tara Bahadur Dev Pun, 8, injured in the lightning in Ghorahi at around 1:30 pm died while being rushed to Rapti Academy of Health Sciences, SP Janak Bhattarai said.
