Biplav outfit takes responsibility for teacher’s murder in Morang

KATHMANDU: The Netra Bikram Chand alias Biplav-led Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has taken the responsibility for murdering a teacher in Morang on Tuesday morning after abducting him from his house.

In a statement on Tuesday, Mechi-Koshi Bureau In-charge of the outfit Pratap claimed that Rajendra Shrestha, 54, of Barkhe in Miklajung Rural Municipality-1 was killed in retaliation.

Shrestha, a headmaster of the local Saraswoti Primary School, was abducted from his house and taken to a nearby jungle where he was killed by the rebel faction, outlawed by the government.

The teacher was abducted from the house by a group of four to five people this morning, police said.

Police are searching for the abductors.
