Kathmandu Valley records 594 new COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: As many as 594 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 412 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 69 in Bhaktapur, and 113 in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, a total of 1,382 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 243,377 with fresh cases as of Tuesday afternoon.

A total of 1,621 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 229,054 in the country.

Nepal currently has 12,686 active cases.

Likewise, 523 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

Meanwhile, as many as 23 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,637, the Ministry confirmed.
