KATHMANDU: The government has extended the tenure of National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) for one more year.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on November 30 took a decision to extend the NRA’s tenure one more year effective from December 25, 2020.

The NRA’s term was extended as per the Article 3 (C) of Act on Reconstruction of Earthquake Affected Structures, 2015.

According to the Act, if for any reason reconstruction work is not completed within the five-year period, the Government of Nepal may extend the term of the NRA for one year.
