CIAA nabs Chief Administrative Officer with Rs 1.4 million



KATHMANDU: Chief Administrative Officer of Dang’s Tulsipur Sub-Municipality Krishna Kant Upadhyaya has been arrested with Rs 1.4 million.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) nabbed Upadhyaya from Chandragiri Municipality-2, Nagdhunga along with the money which source has not been revealed yet.

A team from the Commission’s central office in Tangal stopped Upadhyaya on a tip-off that he is entering Kathmandu with a huge amount of cash.

The commission has stated that further investigation was underway.
